Plank exercises come handy when you don’t have much time and any fitness equipment near by.
All you need is a wish to get moving and break a sweat.
A yoga mat would be a nice addition but it’s absence is not an excuse to get started. Replace mat with a towel.
The following one-minute video gives some guidance to plank workout.
If you are a beginner, start with plank on hands and plank on elbows variations. Build your core, by gradually elongating the duration of both positions. Let’s say, 30-60 seconds.
Then, move to the next two plank positions. For instance, side plank and plank on elbows with raised one leg. Build your time here and move on to the next positions.
By having mastered 5-6 plank variations, you have a nice plank complex which you can add to your fitness routine.
